  • Not often said, but true none the less

You know, after cruising a lot of other sites/forums/interest groups and experiencing their management and the way they treat their members and their focus, I really feel the need to congratulate and praise all of you who manage and moderate Ch 11. It is for sure one of the best forums, not only for our area of interest, but for any area of interest out there on the Inet. And for that, I tip my hat for your dedication.
    Many, many thanks!!

It's not us, it's the bikes.

        Hi Cobia,
happenstance has turned my family "All XS" XS650 & XS11 for me plus XS650 & XS750 for my son Eric. Thus we are members of the XS11, XS750 & XS650 forums.
This site and the other two do indeed have a friendly feel about them. It must be that the entire XS bike series attracts nice helpful people.
One time both my sons owned a certain water-cooled V4 sport bike and so we were signed up to the appropriate site for that machine. What a bunch of spiteful bitches on that site. And almost all of them were men. It's far better here.

So very true. I notice that here at XS11.com when somebody gives you an answer to help you troubleshoot/diy, they actually take the time to type it up and are usually pretty detailed/won't miss a thing. When a part is needed and another member has it they will either sell it dirt cheap or for the cost of shipping! People nearby will actually ride on down to your place and help you with your problems(motorcycle related of course)

I really think it's the kind of people that the XS11 calls to. Just cool folks

            Here Here!

Yes, I think the quality of both member and moderator here are a notch above the average. Like Fred says, the site just has a good feel to it and thats why I check in most every day, even if I have nothing to add to the threads.

So everyone, lets not forget to give a bit of support every once in awhile. Click that donation button on the front page every now and then.

Have to add similar comments. I've joined 2 forums that deal with the Concours, neither of the same caliber and quality as the 11 list. The moderators do a fine job of running this place, and the members offer first-rate info and andvice. I've been around then list since 1999, doesn't seem like 10 years have passed since I "signed up", or several years since its move to this format.

This list is also what got me started going to rallies, have attended at least one in 7 of the last 8 years, with this year's "Yosemite" rally it will be 8 out of 9. I had never before taken long rides and this list gave me the nudge I needed to take the chance and get out there.

I have to say this is one of the three best sites I have found. Great advice, good members and really good moderators make for a good site. The other two that seem practically as good are the Yamaha Owners Club in the UK and pashnit.com over on this side of the pond. In both cases it seems to be a combination of great moderators and members. I think a big part that seems to help, is a love of riding that brings the users together without bring in a lot of contention with it.

I look forward to going on some of the rallies once I get brutus to where I can trust him (fix the engine knock) and finish with the farkeling (much harder to do with old parts on old bikes than with new parts).

                  Raise a Glass

As an opinionated, lifetime tramp biker. With no filter between my brain and my mouth. I can't agree more with what has already been said. This is a site for REAL bikers. My congratulations to all who started, maintained and contributed to this site that allows us to share our passion for these bikes.
I have relied heavily on technical advice (an old dog can learn new tricks)and enjoyed the humour and opinions of everyone. I even made some new friends. ?
I check the site daily, to see what my fellow lunatics are up to and to sometimes to stir the pot or add my twisted views.
This is what computers were supposed to be used for.
                  Here's to you.
                  Thx again, Rick
