  • Yamasam present

Hello everybody, my name is Sam and I live in Belgium.

For about 15 years I've been collecting all sorts of yamaha's, mainly their fantastic twowheelers of the seventies.

I tend to stick to the subject maniacally, so I ended up with the "Yamasam"-name. Also I'm a Yamaha-dealer as far as the generators are concerned.

Some fizzies (including hydrogen rebuild engine) of all types and years,
some AS3's RD125DX's and so on..

Queen of the pack are two XS11's that I truly admire and love to the last bolt.
The XS got me to many countries and keeps me in shape : D
I post some pictures through the years, so the looks may vary..

Got quite some technical experience with the engines and so on, hope to learn too..

    cheers

the limitation is not the bike,.. it is the driver.

I think you're looking for the Hyvo chain. You can get them new, but I've not heard what the quality is like.

Here, in the land of the Dutch:

        http://www.cmsnl.com/products/chain_2h71613902/

        Not cheap at 265 Euros
        XS1100G (3X1 000274) "Torquey"

You can think of a lightning bolt as essentially a really really big bug zapper. Unfortunatey, we're the bugs.

          Hey there YamaSam,

Welcome. I have just had a SHOCK ! I was going to suggest looking up another website that we often use for parts. I was looking at that site just a day ago. I clicked on my favorites link for it, and some friggin' APARTMENT's web site popped up!?

Apparently something has happened to PNM!? Either they forgot to maintain their DOMAIN NAME, or something has happened to the company?

Does anybody have a saved phone # for them?? I did a search, and found a CACHED copy of the site, no phone # listed, but I tried clicking on the CONTACT US link, and it took me to that Apartment site again!

PNM also had the Hy-Vo chain, can't remember the price or what the conversion to Euros would be, but it was NEW!

Hopefully they will be back on line soon, they were a big resource for parts!!!

            TC,

There's another thread about this already. There is definitely something going on with PNM's domain, but the .net version of their site is still operational. Unfortunately, the security certificate has expired, so you have to tell you PC to continue there anyway, and every link on the site points back to the .com address. You just hav to manually change the .com to .net every time you click on a link. Hopefully they figure it out and fix it soon...

Okay, saw the info on the PNM domain problem. What's funny is that their photos on their pages show up, and they are linked to the .net server!?

But I was able to get to the XS11 section, and Engine section, and they sell the Hy-Vo chain for $130.00.

I don't know how that converts to Euros??? Here's the part #.

That's a lot better price, US$130 works out to 96 Euros. What really hurts is when it converts to NZ$219.00 I'd really need to want it at that price

Perhaps someone can call PNM and let them know about their domain prob?

this was also what I'd found..
Shure hope that pnm-site is still working! Great stuff for great prices so it seems.. Think I'll continue dismateling the engine, and make a decent list of the desired parts so I can order them all at once. It would be a shame to renew the chain and put a bunch of worn components back in. Cost just a little too much sweat to get the engine out

                  thanks for the replies gentlemen!
(I'll post some pic of the process when at it)
