I got a call from Mark's wife on Sat., she left a message on my phone service that Mark had been taken to the local hospital (Halifax) with a heart attack, he has heart issues in the past as most of you that know Mark are aware of; as of today he is in the ICU unit and resting, the blockage has been found and removed.

Mark had been really hyped on the upcoming XSeast rally but thats not going to happen for him this year. I've left a message with Dave Steeves about Mark, Dave and I will meet this week either in person or phone to discuss our ride since it will just be him and I riding unless things change for him.....

Anyway, its a deffinite downer for Dave and I and a tragedy for Mark....so all of you XSives out there please think of Mark and wish him well and hopes for a speedy recovery....

Sometime during the Summer Dave, Mark and I will get together for a mini XS rallie here in the heart of Nova Scotia in the beautiful Annapolis Valley; wont be the same as an XS east but .......I will keep you all informed as I learn how things are going....no doubt Mark will be home in a few days and posting on the forums.

            Dave and I

Just talking with Dave Steeves on the phone and he is still keen on riding as I am so will be leaving Thur. noon or so......Soon as I get an update on Mark and any changes it will be forwarded to you all......

About Marks bike...the motor in that bike is low mileage, runs strong and clean and easy on gas! Its too bad he couldnt show it off to the group but like the Giant said; "make it next year"!

                  I'm Home

Thanks for all the get well wishes everybody. I'm back home with another Stent in my heart. I've got a nice collection of them, five all together.

Like Bruce said, I'm really upset that I can't go to the XSEast rally. And to make matters worse, by law here in Nova Scotia, because I had a heart attack, I'm not allowed to drive any motor vehicle for 4 weeks

Well at least I'm vertical and this did not happen while in the USA. It would have been a difficult time getting my bike back to Canada.

                  Cheers,
