Some one help me I need Parts Parts Parts !!!!

I have a xj 1100 maxim Im doing a frame up restore on.
im in northern VA. and i think my local bike shop thinks Im RICH.
called for valve shims they want 11.08 each. I need four.
called looking for floats for carbs 28.50 each
they wanted 33.00 bucks for a side cover gasket that was so thin
I cound all most see trhough it and on top of that my seat is starting to tare.

Is there any place in the aftermarket i can get this stuff?

My floats seem to be more important right now they look like a mouse has been nibbling at them and they are leavung trash in the bowls is there any way to seal them to stop this ?
they seem to work fine except for the trash.

I live in Vienna. I recall picking some used valve shims up at Cycle Sport for around $4 apiece.

parts list

well I think what I need the most is the floats
for the 10mm Makuini's and there are 4 of them.

unless there is a way to repair mine.
they still work but they are starting to crumble in to little specks
if there was a way to seal them I could use mine.

A front brake master cyl. is in need also.

front turn signal light. some jerk pushed my bike over a few weeks ago. lucky i had crash bars or I would be needing alot more.
