Hey I'm on a search for a set of small aftermarket gauges for the Bobber project, Any Ideas? I found these here at Mikes Xs I really like the first two, but the Tachometer says its a cable drive? I'm pretty sure that the Speedometer will work, but I am a little worried about the Tach. What do you guys think? Has anybody found anything else that works, I would really like to have both. Check out the 3rd last tach on the list at Mikes XS, Part #03-0675, it's electronic and will work on our bikes. You have to connect it to one coil circuit instead of the alternator, but it's easy to do. The matching speedo is just below it on the list. Not sure about the aurora guages, but the concept of being able to design your own guage face is appealing.1980 SG. (Sold - waiting on replacement)

The only thing that I don't like about that speedo is it doesn't have a resettable trip. I guess its because I'm anal retentive or something, I'll probably have to settle though, But I wish that the first two gauges would work some how they are exactly what I'm looking for, because they encompass everything I need. They have the trip and the warning lights that I need also. As for the auroa gauges they are nice but I don't think they would hold up to the weather, especially not for the prices.
