Just got home yay! It's just paint and my magnet sticks to it. Here is a link to the harborFreight site with a 4" Angle Grinder. Will i need more than two discs to get the job done?

That thing looks mighty useful! I think i am becoming a powertool addict help

One should do.You dont have a lot of material to cut.I would clamp it to a piece of wood so it doesnt get flung across the room. Those things can grab the material sometimes.

        A little FYI...

Buy the grinder, buy the disc. Then give the dremel to your wife to pollish her nails. Or keep it to carve your kids a pumpkin like a master pumpkin carver.
I myself have found that to be the only 2 really good uses for that piece of ****!!

It looks like the back of a hutch for a metal (steel) desk that one would find in an office. If that is the case you can easily cut it with a cut-off disk on a dremel or better yet a drill. I have trimmed many of these in this manner including several at Hardley's corporate headquarters on Juneau Ave.

            Shear it.

Why dont you take it to a sheet metal shop and ask them to cut your parts out on their shear? They might not even charge you if you ask nicely. If you are very accurate with your measurements youmight not even need to tweak it much.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
