  • Seafoam by any other name....

Does anyone know if Seafoam is available by any other name, or knows whats in it. We don't have it here in NZ under that name but it might be marketed under a different name, or if I can find out what's in it I can look for a similar product. The manufacturers website is understandably lacking with this info.
1980 SG. (Sold - waiting on replacement)
2000 XJR1300. The Real modern XS11. Others are just pretenders.

Woman (well, my wife anyway) are always on Transmit and never Receive.

I guess you could make your own

    Or find a similar product.

    Ingredients from MSDS:
    Pale Oil 40%-60%
    Naptha 25%-35%
    IsoPropyl Alcohol 10%-20%
    XS1100SF
    XS1100F

You can also look for Berrymans B12 Chemtool. This is also a "US" product, but it may be available in other countries. If not, try going to a marine supply store and see what they suggest to clean out the INSIDE of an engine. Boat engines get parked a lot, so the shops tend to know what works.

BG's 44K, cost a bit more than SeaFoam, but does a good job also.
