    depth perception

Just so you know all glasses effect depth unless they are wraps that don't obstruct vision , something to do with focus

I wear Serengeti drivers in the standard avator shaped lenses. They are the best sun glasses I have ever owned.

Hey I just got a new pair of shades... and get this they are HD as in High Definition? That's right the company is at www.VedaloHD.com I use them for riding. They seem to work fine and everything is real crisp, the fit in my helmet--they have alot of different styles.

The ones I have are for motorcycling. They have a gasket around that keeps air from getting behind and knocking them off.

Can't wear them as normal sunglasses or in the car as they fog up.

I finally coughed up the dollars for a really nice pair of shades a couple months ago. Trade name "LIQUID". They are wraps that are polarized, photochromatic and are a polycarbonate lense (high impact resistant). They also have a foam lined removable insert if you want to ride with something less than a full face helmet. They are a machined aluminum frame and you forget you have them on.
Almost forgot. I got one of the last pair with yellow lense color! Also 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protective.

I wear "Wind Riders" from Wal-Mart - $17. They've got the foam gaskets like Crazcnuk said. I wear a full face with clear visor and the glasses underneath. I keep a clear set in the front bag. Can't stand a tinted shade at night.

What do you "tinted shade" advocates do if you ride some where in the day and ride home after dark?

While I've never actually had to do this, since I don't do much night riding, I figure I could just toss the clear shield in my saddlebag and swap it out once it got too dark out. Only takes less than a minute to do the swap, so no biggie.

Oakley half jacket polarized inside a full face;the amber lenses actually make everything look more crisp while eliminating glare.

I too wear prescription that are transition (photogrey).
On the bike they change from dark to light as they should. I discovered a problem driving my 18-wheeler though. I'm inside this cave of a cab, it is sunny outside but the glasses react to direct sunlight to darken. I need to use clip-ons when I'm in the big-rig. Grey lenses for daytime and a lemon-yellow tint for fog/snow/generally impared visability.

I understand that's a problem with all polarized sunglasses inside vehicles, since vehicle glass blocks UV rays, and that is what causes them to darken. I may be wrong on that, but I thought polarized glasses could not be used as driving glasses (in cages) for this reason.
