Not bad for a Rattle Can

If I say so myself, I finished my repaint last Saturday, and while I didn't spend the time I could have (I wanted to ride, not paint) I think it looks ok, and if someone is close enough to see the blemishes, I'm going too slow!

Let me know what you think, I tried to get as close to the original as I could based on trying to match the fairing which is original and was color matched when the bike was new. (dealer Venture, even had the 6 gallon tank, just gotta fix the hole in it and paint to match before putting it back on).

Lacquer. Three coats of silver and three coats of clear. I intentionally left the pinstriping lines intact, figure in about a month I'll wet sand, carefully mask off the existing lines and paint them (both the tank and the bag lids) a nice contrasting color. Then I'll shoot a couple more coats of clear over it and be done for a couple of years (I hope).

Are you talking about the reproduction decal place in like NZ or AU? I know they are like 47 of their dollars each, I may well get the tank emblems at the same time when I pull the trigger on them as one of the tank emblems is damaged.

Although on second thought with the tank emblems they aren't that bad, and I know there is a thread on refinishing them, so maybe I'll try fixing the damage one with "mighty putty" and see how it turns out, and if it's good then I'll refinish the ones I have.
