So, my XS11 is still in the process of being worked on and the insurance on my XJ650 is no longer renewed since I'm sure that at least one of the four potential buyers I have for it are going to be picking it up sometime this week.
That being said, a friend of mine that I frequently ride with has had his bike im my garage for about two weeks. He's been busy and told me that I'm free to ride his bike whenever I'd like.
Now, I've riden his bike before and I'm confident and (cough) comfortable on his bike. I decided to call up a couple other friends to go out for ride outside of town and while we were out I would pick up some oil and a filter for the bike I was riding.
Now I love a good rush every once in a while, but sometimes I ask myself, "who the hell in there right mind would actually want to own an R1(or any other superbike) as their only bike and not complain about the comfort issues?"
It's definitely fun to for about half an hour but after being on it for about a two hour ride today, I'm not too sure I want to look at it again for at least another week. My wrists hurt, my neck is stiff and I don't even want to about the reason they're called "crotch" rockets. I understand that everyone has their own preferences on what they like in a motorcycle but I just don't find it too fun to hurt when you go for a joy ride.
I really can't wait to get the XS11 running so I can feel the power of a 1 liter bike but sit in comfort on a standard.
