Have another cup of coffee and wake up Doug...

It isn't my nephew who is looking at the bike...
I was lamenting the fact that the bike is now... where he was...
Although... even if it were closer... I'd probably only get it to help out someone from here who might be interested in some parts...

      but I'm thinking... La-z-boy

The second one is probably an early XS1100. My first one was built 06-77. If someone didn't know the bike, or was just going buy the"build date", they could think it was a '77. The tank is correct, it has the BEST ENGINE, and for $200 it's a great deal for a parts bike. JMHO
And KAt, you CAN put the engine in one of your "Special"bikes, or maybe buy the Mid Night "Speacail" for only $1,600.00!

        XS1100 E '78 (winter project)
XS1100 SF Bob Jones worked on it!

I know... I'm running a 78 engine in my Special now...
(because the PO apparently sabotaged the original motor... ahem... you KNOW who you are...)
          lol
But by the time we went out and got this bike... it would cost us more in gas than they're asking for the bike... by a LOT...
Unless Jessie REALLY wants that Kerker BADLY enough to defray the cost...

Yeah.... that Midnight Speacal... well... they say they know what they have and what it's worth... apparently... only to him...
I can't blame him for asking that much though... I'd put an ungodly price on my bikes right now if I had to sell them at the beginning of riding season too...

and now that I've awakened... I realize that you were talking about that Standard in Dallas... weren't you Ray?
