I think it is pretty finished now. Works great. Just got this trunk installed. Badly need one emblem. But in general I am pretty happy with my XS11. What do you think?

Did you have the wheels blasted or painted silver? Either way I like it.

        Hi Dimulec,
pretty bike and I like the colour.
Don't sweat the missing emblem, PM me your postal address and I'll mail you the tatty but complete emblem that I took off my XS11SG's left side-cover.
It'll go with the Special front forks your Standard seems to be wearing.
FYI, if you have Special fork tubes & lowers mounted in Standard triple trees it reduces the steering trail and thus quickens the steering.
I swapped in Standard 'trees on my Special to lighten the steering for sidecar use.
If your bike has that particular mix of fork components I'd be interested to hear how it handles solo.

Looks good! Are you gonna paint the fenders too? I think it'd look better to have them yellow too.

It does have a standard triple tree and special tubes. Handles pretty good. A little shimmy from 75 to 80. Above and below no issues. In fast turns it tends to go streight, but I thought this is because the bike is pretty heavy. Although I am not sure - never had a heavy bike before this one.

As for wheels - I did not paint them. Just brushed the old paint off and spreyed with a clear coat. I am not very good with painting. So, better don't look too close

The bike when I got it was in very bad shape. Lots of rust, plastic parts were falling apart. So, I am pretty happy with what I was able to do. Thanks to ebay and craigs list.

Thank you guys. People in my neighbourhood don't really like motorcycles (read - hate). So, a few nice replies mean a lot

                  Hi Bug,
nah, that'd be too much yellow. On that bike, with that yellow, if I was thinking of painting the fenders, I'd paint them shiny black.

Wow... That sucks. My neighborhood is crawling with bikes. The whole area is relatively bike-friendly. Good to know you can come here for some moral support.

Yeah, that'd work too. I was just thinking in terms of the MNS, making everything yellow that would be black on the MNS. Then again, you could also go for the rainbow look and use all the primary colors! Of course, kids might think you're selling ice cream... Oh, so many options!

I'm sure I have a standard logo out in the garage if you need one. The bike looks nice but i'm not sure about the trunk.

I do need that trunk for commuting. But it is completely removable (on quick release). I would appreciate if you try to find that logo/emblem.

And I think the trunk is great Nice colour and also like the chrome fenders.
