Yeah, I saw that last night. I've been a little preoccupied over the last week or so and as such, I've been unable to keep up with the standings. Imagine my suprise when I saw the SHARKS holding the 1 seed, what an outrage!! Good luck to all the teams in the tournament....as long as they're the RED WINGS. have a nice day and ride safe

      Not Happy

Well, I am not happy, just got orders, I will be leaving this weekend to perform a tech assist in Misawa Japan. I will miss games 3 and 4 and any other games until the 28 of April. Damn work for interfering with playoff hockey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Not many surprises

Nothing really surprising so far. Vancouver and NJ both looking good. NYR looks like they woke up a little. Pittsburg/ Philly game was less intense than expected. Game 2 in these series should be better.
Oh yeah, Edmonton is getting a new coach and hopefully a new vision. Rick

The Devs played their best but Carolina just wasn't ready for the game. I expect game 2 to be tougher. Philly just couldn't keep out of the sin bin and goaltending was poor. The Rangers really surprised me with the win but Theodore was just plain bad. Mason kept kept St.Louis in the game but Vancouver was just too strong. Twas a good night of hockey and the intensity will only pick up from here.

Feels like 1995 all over again. Devils will sweep the Wings in the finals.

                GO DEVILS!!!!

                  Old Time Hockey !

Wow. The Bruins/Habs game was tremendous. You'd think it was game 7 for the cup. I'm not a fan of either team but what a game.
Detroit/St. Louis, not so much but the Blues hung in there.
Good to see the Blackhawks again. I like Calgary. Decent game.
Sharks & Ducks. I'd take the Sharks.
Anybody else notice alot of vicious cheap shots in all the matchups?

I respect a good rivalry, and the Wings/Avs was one of the best in my opinion. Bear in mind I'm slightly biased, having grown up an hour from Detroit. To bring back some good memories, I looked this up today. It's the '97 brawl. All I have to say is Go McCarty!!! And of course, Go Wings!!

The Bruins and Canadians matchups have been great as long as I can remember. I started watching the Bruins back in the 70's. Terry O'Reilly was one of my favorites.

Then, along came Patrick Roy who pretty much made the lives of Bruins' fans miserable. Can't say I was sad to see him retire. Man, was he good!

I'm OD ing on hockey !

Please correct me if I'm wrong... starting to confuse teams
Boston eliminated Montreal in 4. The Habs were completely dominated.
Vancover eliminated St.Louis in 4. A good series for the blues though.
Detroit leads Columbus 3 to 1 Blue Jackets first post season series.
Rangers lead Washington 3 to 1 Good games. I hate Tortarella and Avery.
Sharks lead ducks 2 to 1 I haven't watched one of those games yet Penguins lead the Flyers 3 to 1. Good games, Don't think the Flyers have it in them.
NewJersey tied 2-2 with the Hurricanes I'm hoping for the Devils
Calgary Tied 2-2 with Chicago good games. Chicago looks good but Calgary has the experience.
I"m sure I messed up some of these, Feel free to update.Thx Rick

You are right on except that the Ducks lead the Sharks 2-1. It is quite a physical matchup. Really good hockey. It is hell being an east coaster and staying up for the west coast games. I'm still half asleep.

Also, the Wings are up 3-0 on Columbus.

I, too, hate Tortorella and Avery....especially Avery. He is starting to take a bunch of stupid penalties and will eventually cost the Rangers a game or a series. Either that or Torts will sit his rear end down if it doesn't stop.

Brodeur was highly pissed after getting bumped around for the last 2 Carolina goals on Tuesday. I think he will come out highly motivated and bring the Devils a win tonight. LET'S GO DEVILS!!!

The Bruins sure looked dominate against Montreal. I just wondering who's next for them and not sure who I'd prefer. Ummm, could someone please knock off the Red Wings so if the Bruins get to the finals it won't be against "The Detroit Hockey MACHINE"?

Looks like Bruins - Rangers in the 2nd round, unless the Caps can figure out how to get some pucks past Lundqvist really fast. I think the Caps and Ovechkin are done. The Bruins should pound NY into submission in the 2nd round. If NY does finish off Washington, I'll be a Bruins fan...at least for one series.
