Well, my oldest daughter (22) took the plunge today, she and her beau (and father of their 11 month old daughter) decided yesterday to get hitched, so we all went down to the courthouse and had us a good old fashioned shotgun wedding today. I suspect there was a reason for their sense of urgency, but none the less it was a nice time by and large. although my daughter was having a cow over the fact that my mother-in-law bought her a bouquet, it was kind of funny I leaned over and told the wife "I believe we've got the worlds only "bridezilla" at a courthouse wedding" so I will formally offer my congratulations to my daughter and her new husband in a place where she will likely never see it, here on my favorite forum! just thought I'd share a bit. have a nice day and ride safe

Congats Lorax. All the best to your daugther and her family. Weddings are always stressfull especially for the bride. As we all know, raising a family can be a tough go at times.
Being a grandparent is way more fun than being a parent. But you sure have to earn it.

Thanks for all the well wishes, and no, all I paid for was a portion of the dinner bill after the ceremony, my mother in law picked up the lion's share of the tab for dinner, Hannah and Josh picked up the tab for the license and such...I'd say I got off REAL cheap, I doubt I'll be so fortunate with the other two daughters.
