Having spent the last half of the 60's in Europe, my first thought was to return there, or maybe go somewhere Down Under, then I remembered what a cold noisy place the belly of a c130 is and decided every time I ride it's a dream ride.Fastmover

I've been thinking about the 'dream ride'...
Being a truck driver, I've seen most of the US, from the Interstate,
I'm too comfortable with highway travel I kinda prefer it on the bike,
but my dream ride would pretty much carbon-copy a trip I went on with the folks,
I was 10, we did 26 states over the summer, over 10,000 miles,
started in Mi, went north thru the U.P., then west out to WA, south into CA
TX was in there too, Galvaston IIRC,
stopped at too many sight for me to remember them all, but
Iron Mountain, MI
Wisconson Dells
YellowStone, yep, Ole' Faithful and their Grand Canyon
Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, Mt Ranier, Vegas,
The Redwoods and Seqoia's, Crater Lake, that Meteor Crater, the south side of the Grand Canyon, one of those huge Damn's, Hoover I think
four corners, we had pics of the monument, I was quartered between the states, hey I was 10
love to ride the whole thing,
but

There are some very interesting answers to this post question. It's been entertaining to read and gives us all some good ideas for places we may want to try.
Thanks for the replies and keep 'em coming.

I would want to ride a motorcycle on the Nurburgring. As much as I enjoy riding out in the country to get away from the city to see some nature, I think a 15 mile long race course with every imaginable turn and open straight aways would be fun.'81 XS1100LH (almost ready)

I would have to say any of the twisties around here in northern California. Lots of historic places to go see and lots of good almost goat twisties (which IMHO are really the best and most fun).Cy

I know it sounds hokey
...but I would give anything to have been able to go riding with my granddad. Granddad passed years ago, but dad is still out there riding his old Shadow.
He is always telling me stories about how granddad would disappear on his old Indian for days, boy was my grams upset.
The perfect trip would be the three of us and my son ripping it up in the Rockies.Lee aka trainzz
