    Scary dude, really scary, My first bike was a 1981 Kz 440 LTD and my XS looked nearly identical to yours when I got it. Welcome to the site.

      what are the odds

      I found out my buddy just bought a bike... it turns out its a 79xs1100 special also. He picked it up for $600 and its in better shape than mine. Its a runner, but doesnt have to big fairing like mine. oh and thanks for all the responses everyone seems to be great on here.
      Currently own 1979 xs1100 special,1978 gs400x
      ,1980 kz440 ltd
      Previously owned 2005 vstar 650 custom (Wifes), 2005 vstar 650 silverado, 1984 750 shadow
      Loved all my bikes
      Also love my hotods...72 elcamino, 66 chevelle wagon

        Hey man. Welcome to the forum. I've only been here about as long as you have been, but I can already tell you these are a great bunch of people on here. You need proof, just read.

        I just finished reading the Sailor story in the memorial forum, and I'm truly moved. Everyone's right... there are less and less selfless people in the world, and it's great to find that some do still exist.

            Welcome to the board and the best motorcycle ever built. Once you get her sorted out, and they all need some sorting out to one degree or another, you will have a bike like no other.
