  • Hello from Pocatello Idaho!

I am quite recently the proud owner of a 1978 XS1100E.
I've been browsing this site for about a week now and would like to say it has been a fantastic resource.

This is my first foray into multi-cylinder multi-carb bikes. My last bike was a Yamaha XT500.... my first 4-stroke bike. Previously I had ridden several of the mid 70s Yamaha Enduros ranging from 125 to 250ccs.

I purchased my XS for $700 and it is in relatively good shape. It is pretty much stock except for the muffler baffles having been removed, missing the right side cover and all of the emblems except the one on the tail. I've been slowly going thru the bike since it had been sitting for about a year. So far... the only parts I have replaced besides the oil filter are the battery which was beyond help, and the front brake lever which had been snapped off by the PO.

Well.... so much for my introduction!
And... if there are any Idaho XSives.... give me a yell.

      Welcome

Welcome to a Pocatellan- from a Pocatellan. My ride is an '82 XJ11. Not currently running but should be in the near future.
This weather makes it easy to have patience! Keeping the shiny side up!

I thought I remembered seeing someone mention Pocatello in one of the threads.

Maybe when we get our bikes roadworthy.... we can plan a little jaunt on them.
