is your State's class M a stand-alone licence or is it an endorsement on your car licence?
If it's an endorsement whaddya do if you don't have a car licence to endorse?
My son was in that situation when passed his motorcycle test before he took his car test and the licencing people told him to go away and come back when he had a car licence they could endorse.
He carried his "passed" slip and his beginners when riding for perhaps 4 months before he took his car test.Fred Hill, S'toon

I know in the states every state deals with these things differently, even the ""Commonwealths". In Ohio, there is a license for just MC, or you get an endorsement on your car license.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

Its an endorsement. I think everything works like that in KS, even CDL.
Kat, I have been quasi legal. I had an instructional permit, which I later found out allowed me to ride with other licensed riders, as long as they were within 300 feet. From what I understand from other locals, the popo dont really care much if you have a IP, and the judges are pretty lienient as well. The best way is to never get pulled over, which I never did.
Tod, I wasnt talking about the kind of tatoo you THROW when you're drunk, I was talking about the kind you find on your person AFTER you got drunk. I was thinkin about getting I.F.T.D. on my shoulder. it means "I Fit The Description" and is a story best told over a few beers. Maybe on the Bob Jones ride, I'll enlighten a few of the privelidged.
