  • Forum Problem

I tried posting in the feedback page, but got a server error.

You might want to check your mail server. I've got a thread set to notify me of new posts, and it takes a day or so before I see it. The thread in question is:

    http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread...1805#post11805

And, for example, Pat Kelly posted on 4/29 at 8:31pm. I received the email about it 4/30 at 8:58 pm. According to the headers, my mail server received it at 8:36pm:

    Received: from frankfurterDMZ.heurikon.com (courage.vosn.net [209.151.74.1])
by bratwurst.heurikon.com (Postfix) with SMTP id 4FB25CC8C9
    for <johns@artesyncp.com>; Wed, 30 Apr 2003 20:36:20 -0500 (CDT)

Something amiss so it is exactly one day off?

Sometimes I get the post notification messages 4-5 days after a post was made. Also, this morning (5-4-2003) at around 8AM EST the forum section was totally down and was complaining of a database error. I am glad it is up now!

Ya, the email does not seem to be consistent in anything except it always seems to be late.

Interestingly, I just saw the email for this post at 3:43pm my time. However, according to the forum RiskyBUsiness' post won't be made for another 6 hours or so.

I just set my clock back from 5:12 PM to 4:12 PM. Let's see what time it shows the post taking place.

Well the post time showed up as 5:12 PM which is the time (in the US Eastern time zone) when I made the post. My laptop was set to 4:12 PM.
