I agree, considering the term "Chaps" usually only refers to leg coverings here in the States. Though we do have a bunch of ponds between Michigan and Canada... Eh?

Yes, I agree he is probably referring to England, but around here "across the pond" means Seattle. We also seem to collect a lot of Brits. in this area, the rain must make them feel at home. I just wanted to know where he's located, my wife is from Peterbrough, but I think we scared him away.

Kinda funny, 'cause my mom moved from Port Orchard TO England. Of course, the weather had nothing to do with that one though.

Cool! Snapondragon I know exactly where you are, I was stationed at R.A.F. Alconbury (30th. Recon Squadron) back in the late 60s, Met and married my wife while I was there. I think Alconbury's an industrial park now, at least that's what it looks like from satellite.

Welcome to the site! I was over there November 2007 for work! I spent a week at the R.A.L., watching neutrons pound bits of silicon chips into submission!
The year before, I was over there to visit a cousin who has since retired from the U.S. Air Force. She and her husband lived in Huntingdon!! They rented a NICE house on the Thames, about a mile from the train station.
TC WILL be happy to send you a patch, just send a PM and paypal him the needed money, about 3 quid.
