  • Sham-wow!!!

Many of you may have seen the stupid commercials on TV for Sham-Wow, the amazing super-absorbent shammy. We'll we bought a box at Walgreens this weekend. It comes with 4-large towels and 4-small towels for $20. The verdict?...These things actually work!!! The big towels hold 2-1/2 cups of water without dripping and the little towels hold about 1/2 cup. Haven't had a chance to dry the bike or car with it yet but they work as advertised!

Now you can all sleep peacefully tonight!

    See ya

I'm actually interested in the outcom of your Sham-Wow test. My roomie picked up a cheap set of some 'other' shammies that were absolute guarbage. If the Sham-Wow's actually work, then I'll have to go drop a few bucks.

            Hey Folks,

I bought 2 sets of these at a snowmobile show 5 years ago and I still have them and I'm still using them. They do work and they do last.

They are GREAT but a little costly. I saw them at CTC the other day and they were acceptably priced as compared to ordering on line or phone.

So what's the difference between these and the cheap ones you can buy? Maybe I didn't use them long enough, but the ones I have used, including the real animal hide chamois, leave an oily residue looking stuff.

The Sham WOWs don't leave anything behind They really do work well but of course there are limits. Once they get damp their effect is grossly reduced like any damp towel. I use one to go over the item being cleaned to remove the bulk of the water and then a fresh one to dry it up real good.

The biggest wonder is the fact that they are not sold in Deutschland.
(sorry but I had to correct the spelling.)
You can get them through Ebay here, but from a seller in the US.

I believe they say they were "designed by german engineers", not mfg in Germany. By ancestory, I might qualify as a German Engineer. Never set foot in the country though, heck I've never been across the pond.

Don't worry! Currently it's pretty ugly here, at least in the Cologne area.
