It'd bring a tear to a glass eye...

.....I'm old as dirt and don't smell as good.

Thanks large Kat. You are among three humans on the planet to wish me a happy day, the other two being my Dad and some bloke bludging his arse off in hospital.

In previous years I resorted to tactics such as wandering about wearing a sandwich board proclaiming my birthday to all and sundry hoping to educe greetings but realised after much abuse and tomato throwing that this was unwise.

So now I join chat fora and gleefully read the automated birthday greetings generated by them and that seems to satisfy me.

Your message has touched my heart and I thank you for it.

                Hi Prom,
                and you about interpretation.
I am sure what Stralya meant was:- "Thanks large, Kat"
That you read this as "Thanks, Large Kat." says a lot about you.

                  No, Fred...
It says a lot about his punctuation.

Australians get no free ride here. We have a hard time understanding them when they talk... but why should we also struggle to understand them when they write?

                      Have a greatun!!

Isn't it interesting that if we say large kat it seems offensive, but if we said large prom, he would probbaly take that as a compliment....hmmmmm.
