    brake pedal

    hey kat just looked and it's a stock pedal and is about a 1/2 " from the pipes also have a 80 parts bike with after market pipes and muff [ unknowen make] that the pedal didn't hit the pipes

        pipes

        well kat i'am just starting to work on this 81, i took a better look at the header well the right side muff. is up against the axle also the muff isn't connected to the foot rest bracket! couldn't understand why it wasn't moving around well the po welded the factory crossover pipe to the mufflers why i dont know? so if they didn't do that my pipes would hit the brake pedal too if using the mounting bracket

          Well... I guess that helps me figure out my deal a little better... but opens up a whole other can of worms with your bike...

          Still looks good though...

            The system is definatly a Mac. Normally a Mac system doesn't have a cross over pipe between the mufflers, so if your system has a cross over, then it was an add on. Can you post a pic of the system on your parts bike? Maybe we can ID it for you.

              hey john the mac,s are on the 81 and yes the po put the crossover on them what a waste of good muff"s the mac turn outs were on the 80 parts bike you said you had a pair on your bagger and they sucked , what didn't you like about them
