    please sponsor me for my cardiac rehab centre

    Hi groupe
    as you may be aware I have some cardiac issues ;-)
    as part of my transplant programme I am involved with the Toronto Rehab programme
    I have signed up to participate on a fundraising walk big hint i can walk about a half mile with out a rest
    So I am asking you collectively to help me out by hauling out your credit cards and sponsoring me.

    Hey Jim, I had two coronaries myself about five years ago. They put in some stints and I have been good since. Yours sounds much more serious. I went on the site and used your name but it just came up "no records found" Should I just send them a cheque and tell them I am sponsoring you?

              It's OK Prom.The Morphine they hit you with for a coronary would make a healthy man's knees buckle and clouds better judgement. Rest assured you will be back to your cranky and amusing old self in no time. Just take it easy for awhile and don't force things too much (experience talking). Give things a chance to heal.                 Hamjam, whatever made you pick $1100.00 as a goal? I am happy to see you are at 71% so far. I see there is still 10 days till the big event, I hope you make that goal.

                  Hi Jim...Dunno how I missed this thread earlier...but I would like to help out too...my question is..being down here in the states will the rehab centre accept american bank cards? What is $25 American in Canadian $ ? My prayers in hopes your health has and continues to improve.
                  I am not working but I could still spare some bucks for a worthwhile cause.

                    Ok figured it out

                    Not being one to sit around for an answer I checked the exchange rate myself...it appears that $25 USD is equal to $31.06 CAN...so thats pretty good for you all. Ok thats pretty much sums it up...take care Jim!

                      $25 CA works out to be about $20 US...
                      My bank card didn't work because there has been some fraud and they don't allow overseas (international) transactions... yours may be different... but my credit card worked fine...

                        Hey KAT My bankcard worked fine as it is a VISA...I had no troubles..LOL. I had the fortune to meet Jim last year at the XSEast rally. We have much in common and we hit it off as true friends from the get go...Even had I not met him I think its safe to say that I would help another XSive in a heartbeat...no pun intended LOL

                          One week to go

                          I've been watching the Honour Roll on the Cardiac Rehab Centre website and noticing some familiar names. One week to go and I'm sure lots more pledges of support forthcoming. Best of luck Jim.
