Southern Ontario Riders
Hey Guys!
That sounds like a good ride up and around Bancroft.
Count me in.
Of course it will depend when you plan on doing it.
Keep me posted.

Thngs that bite
My experience is that there are ALWAYS black flies in that area as soon as you get close to the bush. New Liskeard is a fairly open area and are not usually a problem. but the miserable little mosquitoes come out at sunset. I would definitely advise a windshield for the trip. RickLeave a comment:

maybe
Good point . Bugs are bad enough around here . I started thinking it might be more interesting on some other weekend than the bike thing .Leave a comment:

New Liskeard and interesting in the same sentence
I visited back in 78 (1978) for the jokers among us
Will the Black flies be gone by the first week end in July ??
I don't go North of Steeles until the Black Flies are gone

What route are we taking

East coast trip
HI Axel, I'm Thinking of July or August for the trip. You're more that welcome to ride along all or part way. If you are thinking of a solo trip you might want to speak with Hamjam. He did the trip last year.
Keep me in the loop for the up north ride and I'll see what I can do.
I am scheduled to attend the Bikers reunion rally (cancer charity event) in New Liskerd July 3rd and maybe July4th if it is fun. After that who knows?Leave a comment:

Sounds good to me . About 2 hours to Bancroft .I pass through on my way to the GTA each year but I have not done a lot of riding around that area . I hear there are some dandy roads . It would be worth getting a room and being there for a fresh start some Saturday morning . If you were coming this way I would definately meet you . Might be a little far for the Ottawa guys but maybe not if we made a weekend out of it ! This is a great idea . I'm excited about it .Leave a comment:

Thank you
That is one of my favourite rides . I love that area . I used to live up there and I visit often . I was in Hardwood Lake and Palmer Rapids last Spring when the lakes were still frozen over .
That was just like being there in this winter wait-over . Thanks manLeave a comment:

ride down east
I have been thinking of a similiar journey in the future . Something with plenty of stops and sight seeing .No rush .
I would like to know if you were heading out around Ontario as well . I would be interested . I am 100km west of Ottawa on Highway 17 . Lots of hilly , woodland riding around here . Across the Park to Huntsville is great . Some excellent riding around there too .Leave a comment:
