  • Bike to Bike Communication

Hey every one I need your help.
We are planning a long trip in the summer and are shopping around for 2 way bike to bike communications.
Someone had mentioned Chatterbox but it's kind of $$$$.
There is also something about FRS but I don't know much about it.
We are off to the bike show on Sunday(Toronto)So I would like some ideas from any one that has used them.
    Cheers!

Hey Gary/ Mrsixtysix. I know you have a Chatterbox Why are they worth the BIG$$$$?
MartyA has the FRS System but he is away/ in church and unavailable to answer this question in time.
Does anyone else have a system like MartyA? He is hardwired to passenger and can answer his cell phone and listen to music on his system. It also allows for an FRS radio to be plugged in to talk to other bikes.
Sandy I wish I had been paying closer attention when he described it to me or written it down, cause I suffer from CRS ( Can't remeber ****)

He may have an Autocom unit. That is what I use for my music, and HAM radio on the old bike. I have NOT transferred the fairing to the new bike as of yet, so I don't have the system working at the moment. It was NOT cheap, but it DOES work much better than the chatterbox. I can do music, radio, and passenger all at the same time.

If your only worried about talking to SWMBO then check out the blueant interphone helmet kits. I've seen good things about them but they are limited to the number of people you can talk to.

          Hi Sandy

I have been looking for a communicator as well.

          Looking at a Nady MRC-11x

As well as GMRS/FRS, it has a passenger intercom and an input for GPS or MP3 player

Best price is at Wall-mart in the US $68US each with Headsets
