    Too bad you weren't born the day before... I think that I'm now all out of those "Old Man" photos that I'd been saving... but let me check.

    There might be similarities after all!
    Mining engineers send canary's down into dark tunnels... and Richard Gere sent a gerbil into a dark tunnel...

    Maybe that's where the similarities end... 'least I hope so.

          "Smoke and Mirrors"

          Well, birthdays are a time for self-reflection...
          There are regular mirrors, and then there are carnival "fun-house" mirrors.
          There's the image that we think we "project"... and then there's the reality of the "projecting" belly, sagging body parts and spindly-looking legs...
          Which mirror one uses, and which truth one believes, is a personal matter.

          I wonder... if Joseph Merrick stood in front of a carnival mirror, would it show a reflection of, say... Brad Pitt?
          (Come on, do your research, I'm not gonna give you everything!)

          Pictures, DGXSER, like birthdays, record the passage of time.
          Why no "before and after" pictures of hot females?
          Too depressing...
          ... especially for us older, divorced guys thinking of dating again.

              Hey Skids,

              Congrats on another trip around the sun! I feel "empathy" for all of these HOLIDAY B'day folks, having their childhood B'day presents diminished due to the Xmas presents, etc.!! My brother's was 4 days before Xmas, but I never learned or remembered it since we grew up with different mom's in different homes, different States, etc.! Was pleasantly reminded about it when I saw the Reminder HERE on XS11.com, he had registered since his attendance at the last XS East rally this year. He has a Yam 600 Sportbike, but is XSive at heart!

              Anyways, not to hijack this thread anymore except to say that if a person's memory was as good as an ELEPHANT, you might know who Merrick was! At least I think that's a good hint? Didn't check the NET!
