That is awesome... wish they did that here.
If they publisized that here they'd have more of a pr disaster on their hands.

A PR disaster or the freaks from that church in Topeka would be protesting.

That is the way the US used to be. I am glad at least part of North America still has honor.

We should always honor the Warriors and not the war. There are a group of riders in the US known as the Patriot Guard Riders...you need not be a war veteran but many are. They will ride is escort of funeral processions and stand guard at funerals to protect the families from those wackos that protest the war and the warriors involvement.I dont have the link at the moment. So after this is posted I will find it and post it.

That's really cool. I had never heard of them, nor had I heard of that church in KS. Some people can really get their heads on backward sometimes. Good thing there are enough honorable people left to make a difference.

That is REALLY cool. Definitely a thought for a veteran like me. I was lucky, or just coincidental that I got out just before Desert Storm. I have alot of respect and pride for our armed services and the folks who go to do what some can't or won't. Not judging anyone, I can't or won't eat peas, does not make me a bad person.

Not sure I'm following you there...if you're referring to being proud?I'm proud and grateful that our men and women in uniform fight and die for our freedoms.I'm not proud of sleazeball politicians who are nothing more than self-serving arrogant s.o.b.s' that should be lined up and sumarily executed.

                            Couldn't agree more.

It's a base dishonor to send people to die in a false war, but an act of unspeakable cowardice to not honor them when they return without their lives.

                              Heroes

If I may add that all the Canadian Armed Forces in Afganistan have volunteered to be there. Many have served multiple tours. Wether or not you support the war is up to the individual. The fact remains that our best and brightest are putting their own lives on the line in the hope of providing basic human rights for others. As long as they feel it is worth the risk, we must support them completely. We will never forget any of those heroes who sacrificed themselves in the attempt to help others.
