something isn't right, there.
FAA N number search here says N28510 is a SEL piper.
As far as the piloting goes, the pilot was cool under pressure for sure. He did everything right, which a lot of pilots don't do. Killing the engines on final saves a lot of repair bills and even at that, he didn't stall it and auger in, which a lot of green horns do in that situation. I have lost friends just because they lost their cool.Ich habe dich nicht gefragt.

eh, no. EMB-135LR
The aircraft in the video is a Cessna 310. It has to be a 310, 310B or 310C, due to the older "square" tail design.
NTSB doesn't show any incidents for Van Nuys during the month of November either. Would be interesting to see what caused the nose gear to not latch.Ich habe dich nicht gefragt.

That is a good landing, I have no idea why the gear didn't lock. Maybe I'll drive over to Van Nuys airport before dinner and see if they have a plane with a scuffed nose and bent gear for sale - cheap!
Well, the turkey's ready to take out of the oven and cool for this afternoon.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry, it was early but I was agreeing with you! It's that old indefinite anticedent problem.
It (The EMB jet) is definitely not a Cessna!
The plane that landed at Van Nuys airport does not look like a Piper or EMB-135LR, it looks like a Cessna.
At least I didn't burn myself getting the turkey out of the oven this morning!
Happy Thanksgiving!
