      OK, I'm in.

I'm off that Sunday with nothing planned so I'll be there. Do I need to bring a toy? Where will I meet you?

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

              XSives in a group...

Just wondering how a group of Aussie XSives would behave in public together. I hope we don't do anything that might make December 7th a day that will live in infamy or anything.

Don't tell me they're forecasting rain?

That's no good at all. Not much fun riding up the freeway in the rain. Keep everything crossed

Thanks Stralya for the link. now I know the track is near Sydney and hostslots of good looking cars & truck racing.
                            Chisso,
I interpret your post as being teh LAST race ever. The website seems to indicate the track is still open in 2009? perhaps the V8's are not going to run there anymore?

                              G'day Phil

                              No worries.

Oran Park is doomed. It's going to become a housing estate. In my short life we have lost Mt.Druitt (Sir Jack Brabham used to race there), Castlereagh Drag strip, Amaroo Park and now Oran Park. All we have left is Eastern Creek and Parramatta City Raceway (Speedway). I used to love Castlereagh Drags. I've been to the drags at Eastern Creek and it's just not the same. Bike races are almost a thing of the past as well. We used to have the castrol Six Hour at Bathurst which was once won by an XS1100!!!

Sydney has become too overpopulated to support vast areas of land for raceways.

There is talk of opening up the Sydney Olympic Park for a round of the V8's next year but there's heaps of opposition so who knows.

Motor Sport is still alive and well in Sydney, we're just running out of iconic venues.

                              Dan.
                              Used to race at Prospect!
