Got a 1984 MAXIM 11 now

Hi all well i did it got another maxim now. My wife is not so happy about it but thats ok. It is a 1984 has 30000 km on it been stored for the past 10 years and very clean will post pics wheni get it here on later this week.

Gee I had forgotten that the XJ was made 2 more years than was made available to the US buyers.I have an '82 which I bought as a new/leftover model in '83...the rest is historyHope you can enjoy it..seeing that the wife aint happy abt it...does she ride?

i have a 1982 but couldnt let this one pass by and i bought her a nice cm 450 e with 6000 km on it to start riding but she is it seems to scared on it just going around the yard says she is much happier on the back. Also she could never ride one of the Maxims she just touches the ground on the 450 and she says it is to heavy so no chance of her on the 1100 i wish would be nice but it wount happen. I am just restoring the 1982 new paint and buffing all the aluminum on it engine etc. am thinking of changing it from black to burgandy but not sure yet. Also wanted to let all the guys know that i do buffing and it make all the differance in these bikes just lots of sanding involved to get that smooth finish so it glows when its done if anyone need help or wants me to do any let me know.
