Hello......just bought a 1980 sx1100 special had been sitting for two years
had to have the carbs completely rebuilt,new brakes and capilpers,new fuel filters,new tires....runs great love it....looking forward to riding it more....and looking forward to meeting new people here and learning more tips on keeping my bike running in tip top condition

This is a great forum and the members possess a wealth of information about these machines that they are willing to share.

Before you dive into those carbs and the other stuff make sure you read all the tech and tune-up tips. Knowing alittle about what you are going to face will save you hours of hair pulling and such. Oh, and one other thing, get yourself a manual.

,So you got a nice bike it sounds like.They always need some fine tuning when you get them,sometimes lots of work.But they are 30 year old bikes but very good machines.
