If you covered it up with some nice fiberglass body work it wouldn't be so bad but it's still not worth the price.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Well, I dunno. The machine is obviously for those who are not bothered what they pay for stuff. And apart from those big holes through the frame, no fenders and no place much to sit, what's wrong with it? As to the price, it's not unreasonable for a high-end limited production machine. If the fellow on this very list who does that XS11 chain drive conversion would pay himself a journeyman's wage for all the hours he spent dreaming up the methodology and then doing the work, add in the money spent on parts and materials, the cost of running his shop and the ~$12,000 a new 1100cc bike would cost I betcha that number would make your eyes go big and round too.

I kind of agree with Fred. I would do something with the front end even if it was just making the color the same as the rest of the machine and the holes have to go. But aside from that it is not bad looking.

My usual benchmarks for a good looking machine are that it must be clean, different, well thought out and look like its going 100 when sitting still. this one qualifies.

              V-e-r-y strange.....

Each to his own I guess. Looks as if it would be very rough on the ass.. LOL.. If I were going to spend that kind of money on a bike, I would surely consider spending it on the turbine powered bikes built by MTT right here in good o'l LOUISIANA and not a twin with no seat. LOL. I acutally do some work for those guys at MTT turbine specialist and trust me. You wrenchers and gear heads would drool in their facility. Aside from building lots of industrial turbine powered equiptment, you should see the toys they also build. Bikes, boats, trucks, cars, you name it. Last time I was there they were jamming an enormous helicopter engine from a Bell 407 into a Minni Cooper. Incredable work. Sorry for getting off track.

I wanna know what on that could possibly make it cost that much?? whats the point? Then again I dont understand wanting stuff to look "cool".. I want a functional, reliable machine. All that thing needs is a big sign on the side "PLEASE look at ME!!!"

I'll go against the grain, I kinda like the way it looks. Cool in a techy/mechanical sort of way. Not sure I'd ride it much, and I sure wouldn't pay 100,000 for the pleasure of owning one but I can appreciate the design. I'd point and say check that out if I passed one on the street. I think it appeals to the kid in me that grew up on a steady diet of legos, erector sets, and transformers.

I have to agree. As a techie myself, I think it looks kinda cool. Now, I wouldn't spend that much on it, and I do think I'd rather go with the turbine bike, but if they made this bike a turbine bike and dropped the price by $100k or so, maybe.

I could trick out my XS to be 1,000 times the bike that will ever be for 100k.

Probably could do it for only about 5k, truth be known.
