  • Northern michigan fall ride

I have tried to get a few xs's on a ride in Northern Michigan. I live in the Cadillac area. If anyone may be interested in a couple of hour ride to the Manistee, traverse city area, count me in. Also, it does not have to be entirely xs's. I just enjoy meeting new people who love this sport.

SWMBO and I have been contemplating a trip up there, we've heard that 31 from traverse city up to bay view and then 119 from there up to Cross village is an awesome ride. Would you be interested in something like that?

I'll second that M-119 is one heck of a cool ride. M-22 up around the Leelanau Peninsula is pretty nice too. I'm in Gaylord, and the colors around here are peaking right now, so this weekend would be a beautiful ride. My folks are coming up though, so I won't be able to join you if you go this weekend.

Next weekend I could. Let me know if you guys would be interested in riding the 18th. I need to get my wood cut for winter, but the riding season is winding down, and I've hardly been out and about, so I think I'd be able to justify it.

I hear the wood cutting. SWMBO parents primary heat is wood so I get roped into helping cut wood every fall. Man thats tiring work, cut, move, split, stack, repeat. Doing that makes me a little less angry everytime I have to cut DTE a check for my heating/cooking Gas.

This weekend isn't looking good for me either, next week I'll be in traverse city thursday/friday but I'm not sure if I'll be able to work a ride in because we'll have the little one with us and at this point I'm unsure about finding someone to watch him for a few hours.
