    1982 Castrol

Here's a question for all the old gearheads:

Can you identify this model (this is a NSFW picture)?

    1982 Castrol GTX

I tried the Something Awful forums, and even emailing Castrol -who seemed offended by the question.

    Anyone have any ideas?

That's great, I don't think being born in '82 makes Ashley, Castrols rookie of the year. Maybe her parents though.
Catatonicbug you were only 5 when that poster came out so I don't think your legally allowed to look at naked pictures from '82.

oh.. Teehee! I didn't notice that 1982 was her birthyear! I feel dumb now.. As for the pic, it looks a lot like the mags my dad had stashed in the attic when I was a kid, so I saw 'em anyway :P

I am shocked that something like that would be posted here. Wonder how long it will last. Oh, god she must be my age by now!

Um, that would be a, um, lemme think, ok, just a sec, hafta look at the picture again. ..................... Ok, I'm back. This ones easy. Thats a 82 Very Special. By looks of the picture, it would be the stripped model. Or maybe the "sport touring" edition. Its easy to tell the model by the lack of chrome trim. The dual headlights is a dead giveaway.

I thought the bumpers weren't available until the late '80s with the increased usage of Silicone in manufacturing.

Dang, I always thought the bumpers were in back. Might explain the rough ride I've been getting...

You guys bump where you want to, I'll bump where I want to...

Although hard to see, I would guess this model's back bumpers are quite effective in taking a gentle hit.

I did notice that it is one of the smaller displacement twin models, though. I wonder how many cc's it is?

I can change that by introducing you to my ex wife. After she left me and had three or more (who knows?) kids, hers hang to her knees. I think she has to roll them up like a tube of tooth paste to get them in their storage bins.
