After living in the sub-tropics for almost 17 years, it always amazes me to see the first snow on the mountains. Snowline is at about 8000 feet. The view is off my front porch. Utah is definatly very beautiful. Little differant, but very beautiful.

Yee'up...I picked me up a black pair of Carhart bib overalls today. They sure were nice when I rode up to Gladwin today on a color tour. Especially when the clouds rolled in and the sun disappeared the temp took a dive, 50 degrees @ 65-70mph! I think the Carharts are going to come in real handy until we get snow on the ground and then it's all over till spring. Maybe April or May around this neck of the woods. From what I heard, the colors are spectacular around Grayling right now. The colors are about at 50% at Gladwin and north. Next Saturday is going to be in the low 60s and I'm going to head up again. Hopefully I'll get some pics posted.

Cold ???
Went riding today with a buddy of mine, same 'cool' weather that Axel was riding in. My buddy was dressed in a leather M/C jacket, sweater underneath, jeans, chaps, boots and leather gloves. Complained a few times how cold it/he was, especially when the sun was blocked by clouds. I, on the other hand, was wearing a leather M/C jacket and gloves, leather boots and jeans. While I didn't find it overly cold, I was, however, fortunate and appreciative of having - and enjoying - the benefit of a full fairing, with lowers, that kept me sheltered, warm and toasty.
Bring it on... just keep that white $#it away from here1980 XS11 LG (Diablo)

Hey Axel... I was just yankin' your chain, bud!
We'll get the 'fall' ride in yet, along with the rest of the XSive XSers. Colours still not near their peak so, if we could just get a nice, sunny, warm/mild day - on a weekend - in the near future, we just might be able to enjoy them at their fullest !

gear
Lets see - I had on long underwear ,winter socks, draggin jeans ,chaps and CF boots . On top -two shirts , CF wool sweater, and leather M/C jacket . Scott snomobile gloves and the zip-in lining of my helmet . Its a little frosty up Petawawa way . Of course my bike is naked and I couldn't keep below 120 kph
My back was still getting cold and I was glad for stop signs to warm up.There was a mech at the Harley/Honda dealer who's daughter (24 years old) had been diagnosed with cancer . HOG changed their annual Pumpkin run to a charity run and invited my club (Old Bastards) and all bikes to participate . I got there before the group got back but they had already raised $1500 .XJ1100K
