cooler weather riding

I took the bike to work on Wednesday because the Jeep was in the shop for some routine maintenance.Even though the weather was cooler, it was beautiful riding weather.Now 2 days later the cold that i had has intensified and see a trip to the doctors office.Sore throat has gotten worse and have broken out in a fever the last 2 nights.But i had no other choice.Took today off from work to rest.

Take some zinc and vitamin c, always works for me. Be careful, you can take too much zinc, I wouldn't take more than 50mg a day. Vitamin c is safe, if you take to much it just come out in your pee! If I take them, I can knock out a cold very quick. Only take them when your sick, if you take it everyday your body gets used to it. Just my experience, individual results may very!

I thought it was XS11 sick, meaning that if you don't take a day off and ride, the Whole World as we know it will dissappear!!

Try some senior vitamin supplements like Sentrum Silver, they build up your immune system so you wont get colds or if you get one it wont last long or be severe. If you have little kids around you will always have colds, they are big germ carriers, it's best to stay away from them.

Allergic to Zinc as my colds get worse when I've tried it.Took some Mucinex and am feeling better.But it has rained here alot in the past day and tomorrow i will put my new rubber mounts for the rear turn signals.

Fred's cold cure

Hi Oldyam,
in a pint glass put 1/2-pint boiling water, 1oz concentrated lemon juice, 2oz of liquid honey & stir. Let the mixture cool until it's just bearable to sip it. Then add 2oz of dark rum and stir again. Sip slowly until it's all gone. Repeat until you don't give a toss about having a cold.

I like your cold remedy. I prefer a little more rum though. haha
