Will it work? I'm planning on running spoke wheels when i change the bike over to a hardtail chaindrive but i am having trouble finding a rear wheel that'll hold a 200mm tire. Anyways, i have a 73 honda cb500t and it has the spoke wheels on the front and back. Now the back i can't use cause it's really narrow. But the front is a spoke wheel. Does anyone know if it'll fit on the front of my xs1100sf? Cause that'd save me a little time and money. Anyways i appriciate the help fellas. Thanks later.

Hi Bowtied,
I think that one of the guys on here did something similar.... P'raps Audijunky?
If you have a look around, the wire wheel from the XS650 fits straight in..... discs bolt on, speedo drive fits. Honda bits will need some adaptation.

the only thing you will have to do is have the axle machined a bit in order to fit .
other than that its all good to go.
what axle modification do you reckon is needed?
My XS11SG is rolling on an XS650 wheel right now and the stock axle holds it in without needing to be machined at all. I'd swear the XS650 & the XS1100 front axles are identical. Specifically I'm using an XS650 artillery wheel but it and the XS650 wire wheel swap with each other just fine so an XS650 wire wheel in an XS11 should also be a straight swap.Fred Hill, S'toon
