  • Windshield/ saddlebags for xj1100

Hey there, I just picked up an xj1100 and I want to put a windshield
and saddle bags on it. I need to do it kinda cheap if possible and I
was just wondering if anybody had any recommendations. My biggest
concerns are that all the universal windshields appear to attach to a
round handlebar with bends, mine however have the straight, square
risers and the bar comes in at an angle and I cant figure out if I
need any extra hardware to install the saddlebags.
    thanks everybody

I put a GIVI universal airstars on my XJ. They have one that is a little taller than the one I put on. It is head light mounted and I had to drill the hole like one size larger using a step drill, you can get them from Harbor freight for like $10. I may make two small brackets to attach to the stock adjusters and headlight mounts cut at an angle for a little more security. I got the shield from casporttouring.com for $90. They do not charge shipping. Some pictures on this thread.

Good luck and hopefully you find something out there you like.
