Hey folks, just spotted a cleeean midnite special in the san francisco bay area, craigslist- yamaha xs was the search.

OK, Called the "ex" employer, and my "final" pay will be in my account Friday. I then called the owner of the bike, and will be going to get it Friday morning. I am NO LONGER a standard only guy, I'm now "SPECIAL" as well...
Did I say my girlfriend told me to try and get it??? SWMBO knows me well, and that's a great thing.

From what I can see in that photo, there would be no way I could pass up that bike if it were over here in New England.

Not that I need another 1100 Special but some things you just can't let go.

Well, it's had all the rust from sitting painter over, but is in GOOD condition over all. It got just about 36 MPG at 70+ MPH on the trip home, so I'm pretty happy. I can tell I need to clean ALL the electrical, and look at the tires for the date stamps, as it does handle a little "off" now and then. I'll post pictures after the rally here.
