    Happy B-Day!

On another note, where did you get your tires?

I've been looking for a set like those for my XJ.

I think the raised white letters really complete the look of the early 80's musclebike/car persona!

    Thanks.

Well Thanks for the well wishes...as far as I know these tires are readily available.Last year they were ordered thru a local repair shop where I had some work done to the bike. They might have been ordered from a Dennis Kirk Metric bike catalog...but not sure...I have seen other raised white letter tires by Dunlop...they make the Elite series and I 've seen a number of bikes sporting these tires.Yeah... I like the raised white letter look too.It definitely compliments the muscle bike look...

You all will be seeing Max..next time

Hey Paul..Thanks Is this bike familiar because I have plastered this site with pics and the calendar?Or is it because you have one too?At any rate it will be nice to actually ride my Max to upcoming rallies.I am exploring options to make him more comfortable for the long haul.Since I ride my ST1100 alot,it has spoiled me for LD riding in comfort...so some new handgrips and some hwy footpegs and maybe some more padding in the seat too.I am gonna add a new airhorn as my dual electric horns are pretty wimpy...

                  Ben,

Mine looks better in pictures too!
I put those mirrors on for the trip to XS East in May. They are a lot better than the stock ones. I also have a Bosch car horn instead of the wimpy stock ones. It's good and loud!

                  Cheers,
                  Paul

Ben, I bought them on eBay, they are XS1100 mirrors. $25.00 for the pair.

                          Very Cool

I will be looking for a set of those...they are alot nicer than the square mirrors....
Carolyn...Thanks for the compliments...I just LOVE that pic..its on my 'puter as the background desktop image. It is without a doubt the best feeling to be riding this bike again. After nearly 15 months in limbo I have finally blown out the cobwebs.Up next is a new Jardine exhaust that will shave off some weight and give a better exhaust note to boot.Cant wait to proudly show him off at the next get together
