I just finished installing the regulator/rectifier I bought from Geezer. This is a remarkable unit, fit perfectly, even had the proper mounting screws. Tony even included the two plugs and related parts as mine were very corroded. The unit works fine, and I have full (14.5 volts) charge at just off idle. The unit arrived very soon after I ordered it, and was well packaged. Tony, my hat and helmet are off to you, thank you so much for all your help. I would strongly recommend this unit to ANYONE. Along with the S.O.F.A. from TC and the 750 FD mod that XS Chop engineered, the F is getting to be far better than new. Thanks to you fine XSers.

Ditto, Derwat and I both put his units on, and they work great.
Also have the SOFCA on both, love those too. Spin on filters rock!
With the rectifier, LED lights and an HID headlight, the charging system can sleep most the time!
Derwat has done the 750FD and I have mine waiting to install.Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

I went with LED tail lights too. I got them cheap from one of my suppliers that was closing out on them and they sounded like a good idea anyhow.
I've only put 2 in the back of the XS so far. On my Wing the tally is 8 1157 bulbs swapped out for LEDs including the signals and front running lights. That has got to make a difference...

Mine has 10 1157 bulbs, so I thought it should make a big difference.
My signals will still not flash (old bulbs and stock flasher) at below 2000rpm. I think the flasher may be lazy, but with the new lights, and, when they get here, the new flashers, the issue is mmot.Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

regulator
Yes, that is possible. There is a way to safely bypass the regulator for testing purposes. Find the skinny green wire coming from the alternator (stator wire), tap into it and attach to ground.

Have had my reg/rec for over two years now. Love it. My old unit went bad just before a week long trip down int Smokies. Geezer went out of his way to get it to me. The funny thing was as I was installing out front of my condo a new neighbor walked by and asked if I got it from him. He had bought a couple of units for a couple of other UJM.s that he owned.78E ... Gone but not forgotten
