I went with #1 but its more like - Loves it, Rides her own, as long as she doesn't have to do any of the dirty work.
    1979 xs1100 Special -
Stock air box/K&N Filter, MAC 4-2 exhaust, Bad-Boy Air horn, TC fuse box, Windshield, Soft bags, Vetter Fairing, Blinkers->Run/Turn/Brake Lights, Headlight Modulator, hard wire GPS power

Short Stack - 1981 xs1100 Standard - lowered for SWMBO.

I rode everyplace when I met SWMBO, and when "daily ride" broke, she didn't mind at first. After me working ALL WEEK trying to get it ready for Yosemite, she started calling it my "Iron Mistress".
When the trans locked up, and she saw what I was becoming WITHOUT a bike, she told me to go and buy the one from planedick, so I would be "normal" once again.

I'm in for choice number 2. She doesn't mind at all when I go out for a ride, and even loves to hop on the back when given the chance, but to her "helping out" is getting off to open the garage door when we get home from a ride.
I know this, because Tyler knows this.

Well I punched #3 but its more like she is fine with it, even bought me a nice helmet(although I guess that could have been self serving, lol). She wont ride on it though. We rode on my old XS once about 6 years ago.Almost killed us both.I lean right she leans left.I lean left she leans right.Shes skeeerd!I bought a virago 750 a couple months ago and am trying to get her interested in that ,but I dont think she'll ever ride it.

My wife loves my bikes but the XS seat isn't big enough for both of our big butts. I will either need to build a custom seat or get a bigger bike for 2 up riding.

BTW, think Clint Eastwood said it best in the movie "The Gauntlet"
while he was laying in front of the court house next to hs mod'ed bus with Sondra Locke standing over him, screaming at him not to die, so he opens one eye and says "nag nag nag"....

                  Ditto, geezer

SWMBO and I rode to Arkansas on the Packmule, and I thought our butts were gonna fall off when we came home! Two-up riding that distance on Packmule was brutal.

So, we bought Kermie, and did that Bob Jones memorial ride to Missouri and man what a difference! Two-up riding on that touring bike was awesome! We were not tired, sore or "packmuled!"

Plenty of room, plenty of power and plenty of comfort!

I ride packmule daily, and Kermie when two-up.

                  Main thing is to RIDE!

Nothing in your pole fits my wife of 12 years. My wife loves the bikes but only rides for short rides a few times a year. When I told her i was thinking of sellng my prize 79sf she looked like I said I wanted to sell the kids. Then said it would be OK if I got $20,000. She will help work on them, if I make her. She has said "i've only saw you give one thing more special attention than those bikes" But that is because she keeps it locked up most of the time.

                        hillarious poll....

hey there folks......i don't know how many of you are like us, but my SWMBO is telling me "you better let me read that before you send it!"......we voted for #2, but like the others, it isn't the complete picture of "mrs. rebel devil"......she luvs 2 ride (fair weather rider only!!)....she has problems with her knees locking up......she does NOT wrench....she does feed mechanics who do wrench.....she even delivers "holy water" to the man-cave......i did feel bad for her on the annual trip to Hell, Mi.....(75 miles in a downpour and road spray)....and of course it was her first time on that ride.....she understands the cost of owning a 30 year old bike and is just glad that i can fix it when it breaks down...which (knock on wood) is almost never......of course, it being my daily ride 2 work makes it a necessity....she appreciates the $$$ i save in gas alone......she has even o.k. me getting a new (used) cage for the days i can't ride (snow, hail and occasional brimstone, but thats about it!!)....from our trip 2 hell, she realized she wanted some riding boots and gloves.......hoping 2 get them for her yet this riding season.....she also really likes the stares and comments we get about the "rebel devil" when we pull in somewhere with other bikers.......just last weekend finally got her to go 2 the local "bike nite" at the trade center and she really had a good time....but then there are times when i want 2 ride and she just wants 2 stay home.....which is fine with both of us....finally i would say it was a win-win situation where i got a "xs-ive" bike to ride and she has an ol' man that is not driving her crazy all day, everyday!!!....but that is just my point of view of the situation.......

now back to programming already in progress.....

Wife picked me up 36 years ago - I was on a bike! Road with me every where and was the perfect companion until she found out she was pregnent with our first son - Then she was worse then a board.

36 years latter, the XS makes us both feel young again. It's my daily ride to and from work till winter shows it's ugly head, she rides on the back with me on weekends!

                              Number 1 here

Mine has been riding dirt bikes forever. she was an AGE mechanic in the Air Force. She loves riding herself oiff Rd but not to thrilled about on road unless she is on the back with me> we just had a big Rally here and put about 1700 miles on the bike in 2 weeks.

LOL she even still talks to me after i put up my Bike only shop which she calls my Dog house. so i ahve to say im pretty lucky even when she comes in shop and says where did that bike come from lOL and i say well it followed me home.

Somewhere between number 2 and 3. She used to go on the back of it all the time when we met (18 years ago).

She recently bought me new tires for father's day but sometimes has issues if I wrench on her(the bike) all weekend.
