  • torque wrench

so I m waiting for xs750 rear swing arm to arrive , and trying to figure out what kind of special tools I'll need looks like i need a some kind of a impact tool to get the guts out of the 750 and a 22mm socket as well as a torque wrench, any suggestions on the impact and torque wrench , like all of us I dont have lots of money to spend but would like to get a torque wrench that I can use all the time, and I dont have a compressor to run an air impact so I thought I'd pickup an electric one????

DeWalt makes a pretty darned good electric 1/2" drive impact gun. "Clicker" type torque wrenches are available all over the place in both lb/ft and lb/in versions. You can also get that axle nut loose fairly easily with a good old fashioned breaker bar...

          FD conversion

I'm in the middle of doing my conversion. Found out you don't take the ring gear before loosing the pinion gear nut. Used a block of wood to keep the 850 FD from spinning on the wheel while loosing the nut. Wasn't very difficult to get loose. Doing a little bit at a time cause SWMBO has me checking over the college bound daughters car.

There is a great deal on a torque wrench through Harbor Freight, in the Pittsburgh Brand. I like the 1/4 drive for Bike Work and it sells for 19.99. I have used a 3/8 drive for years on my sons cars with great results.
