Was riding around the other night and out of the corner of my eye I saw a bike go by. That looked like an old Yamaha I said to self. Started down the road in the direction it was going and caught up to him at the next stop light. We started talking, and pulled over as he was the new owner of a 79 special. He had bought it out of the bargain trader mag from a guy here in eastern NC for $900. The guy had had it serviced before he sold it and it sounded nice. Mac 4 into 1 which were blue all the way to the collector. The new owner told me it ran real strong until about 5K and then the power drops off and it stumbles. First guess was the PO had not changed the jets when he changed out the exhaust system. The other thing that came to mind was pick up coil wires. Al, the new owner, said he was a little concerned about working on the 1100 as it was older than what he was used to working on. I recommended he tune into channel 11 and that if he could work on new equipment and with the help of the EXcessives he could do anything the old girl needed. Cosmetically the 79 needed some work as it was a barn kept machine here in the swamp but I'm sure with a little work it can be made very nice. He lives about 60 miles from here but works in the same building I do. Glad to know there is another excessive in the area. Al you out there?

No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal rights of another; and this is all from which the laws ought to restrain him.”
A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.
