oil filter price!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well went to town last week to zambons yamaha in escanaba to buy a oil filter for my 78 and could not belive the price $44.95!!!!!!! told them well any ways went to napa for $6.00! have a good day

That had to be a typo or case price... or they looked up the wrong number. Did that filter have "Harley" written on it somewhere? lol.

I don't know if you have these stores up there, but Autozone has them listed for 3.99 a piece but couldn't get any. I went to O'reilly's auto store and had them match that price and ordered a 1/2 dozen of them. This is for Fram though. I think WIX was 7-8 bucks.

Fram discontinued?

was told by the local O'Reallys the the Fram filter is no longer available from the manufacturer. So, I went across the street to the Napa to order their filter - it was still $3.00 cheaper than the Wix.

Hmmm.. I wonder if they just sent me what they had left in stock then? I just ordered these maybe 2 months ago. I guess I should have bought a case...

Does the NAPA filter have both the O-rings with it?

ended up purchasing the Napa and later, the Wix. They are both identical and have the o-rings....although the smaller o-ring has a tendency to fall out of the box!

Napa slightly altered their p/n...it is now preceeded with PS (for Power Sports).

The O'Really said that the Fram was no longer stocked in their warehouse and they cannot order it from Fram. Also noticed the CH6002 'disappeared' from the shelves of the local WalMart.

I just got off the phone with my local Oreilly's and they had 4 left in the warehouse... so I scarffed them up. Sorry to whoever was looking for one in my area!! *Evil laugh..

hey there brokenarrow....i knew we were in the neighborhood, but was not sure where u were at....no, sadly, we didn't take the bike.....it was just 2 damn hard to pack the kids in the saddle bags (that i don't have!)......btw if ya rent a 2008 pontiac grand prix.....don't plan on driving it 820 miles....i think the stock standard seat would of been more comfortable....seriously, if ya need a cheap source for oil filters, give me a holla and i'll hook ya up.....talk 2 ya later....ross
