    Supertrapp mufflers

Back in the day, when I was wrenching old mustangs, Supertrapp mufflers were sought after, and as I understand it, they started out on motorcycles.

Are they worth it? My XS has a four into one exhaust, which I don't think is stock, but I have always liked the look and sound of supertrapps on cars, and it looks to be a fairly easy change out for a supertrapp over the big cone. Any thoughts?

As a side bit of trivia, the designer of supertrapp mufflers is also the guy who is making the Skycar, which is kinda neat looking. Might need one to go with my bike. hehe

I put a SuperTrapp core and discs on my '4 into one' on my LG. I have 2 SuperTrapps for my '4 into 1 into 2' set-up I have planned

I had a SuperTrapp 4 into 2 exhaust system my V-Max. I liked the sound, at least for the first 15 minutes, but on longer rides they were too loud. I have already lost a lot of my hearing from loud things (motors, guns, music, and women), don’t need to lose any more. Taking out a bunch of disks lowered the noise but also hurt the power. Also, they didn’t have good heat shielding and were hot on my feet. I ended up going back to the 4 into 1 into 2 stock exhaust. That is almost too quite but gives good power and less heat. Keep in mind this is on a V-Max. They may be totally different on an XS11.

My first 4:1 on my 'F' was a Supertrap. It ran great, but was too load for my tastes. Especially on long trips. When I added more discs, it did not run so great. I went to a big R1 can muffler and now feel I have both performance and nice mellow sound.

My 4-1 supertrapp is so quite and it only has 4 disks in it and I can pull the front tire off the ground at will.
I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

Bought this one from Summit. Comes with a recommendation for # of discs corresponding to your hp. Replaced Mac megaphone, and wished I'd done it years ago. The tuning capability is a big plus. Some people don't like the slip-on idea, afraid it will blow off. but thats a risk I'm willing to take.
