    Rocket

Went with a buddy of mine to check out a GSXR 1000 last night, he needed to use my plate for the test ride. He ended up buying it and I said "guess what the price fo borrowing my plate is?"
So 30 minutes later I came back with a big grin after WINDING HER OUT, BOY DO THOSE THINGS PULL HARD - i HAD ONE YEARS AGO AND HAD FORGOTTEN HOW MUCH FUN THEY ARE. Oops didn't mean to hit caps lock!
He got a steal to: 04 Special edition (paint job black and silver) matching helmet and jacket, 4000Km, service history, C$7,000.

I'll say this though - I was really happy to get back on my XS my rocket days are done - a quick blast once in a while is enough.
I was sure to point out that his bike existed because the XS was first!

    Riding position

    Hi Si,
no dispute, the GSXR goes like sh1t off a shovel but how did you manage to ride the thing?
What with my elderly and overweight frame not bending so good any more, I doubt I could cope with a sportbike's extreme riding position. Owing to being bitched for fork seals for my rig the other week (always check they sent the right seals BEFORE you destroy the old ones ripping them out) I had to borrow my son's XS650 to run some errands. Now the XS650 is the UJM's UJM but Lord, those footpegs are way high compared to the XS11's and my knees whined all the way.
