Whilst floating around on a tube enjoying the calm lake and Texas sun yesterday, we were discussing other "man toys" we have and the related expences. So, lets here where YOUR disposable income goes for "toys".
I usta have a garage full of bikes, dirt and street. Now down to one. Blew ALOT of money on cars, you know the drill, carbs, cams, headers, manifolds, ect ect. Seems like there always was something that might make it just a little faster.
My current "flusher" of the wallet would be my trusty 21ft, 300hp bow-rider, "highway" mileage figures out to around 3MPG. To get that one to the lake, I hafta use my 33 year old Power Wagon, which seems to get 8mpg no matter how I drive it. 'Course my trusty and faithfull XS would be my favorite toy, unless I want to go tubeing or off roading.
Do not take this as complaining about toys that suck fuel, I know its the price I pay for the games I play and I could simply get rid of them, but that ain't happening! A day on the water with the family is priceless as is the the look on the SWMBO face when I aim the truck down a 60 degree, off camber, rock strewn trail.
