  • My painting project

Ok, so i'm no painter. But i've done really well on quite a few models before (cars not women).

I'll eventually get the whole bike to a millitary/rat bike look . All i've done so far is the tank.

    I like it

    It's different.
The stripe breaks it up just enough.
Good job. Keep up the good work.

      Hi Ozmodius,

Interesting start point; an LG midnight with a stock exhaust....... one of the rarest models, ...... possibly fitted with the most valuable parts there ever was....... The Black chrome pipes don't survive european climates.

When you rat it, don't cut up the pipe..... stick it on e-bay, and possibly put a heads-up on the UK site. Same exhaust is used on the euro "Sport" model. New parts are no longer availble.

Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

              Ouch,,,,,

Does he realize this is one of the rarest of the xs1100 line and maybe the best looking of the bunch. I have one and I am cringing too. Maybe someone can swap him with a regular xs before some of us have nightmares......mike in s.d.

Don't worry guys/gals. I wont be changing anything a good paint job won't fix. The pipes will stay just as they are ... maybe with a black kevlar/ceramic fabric wrap.. but thats as far as i'll take it. I'm sure years down the road i'll change it again .. maybe stock .. maybe tiedyed. Who knows. I've always had a thing for military bikes, somthing of an unpolished tough look.
